The Harris Scotland lace-up boots are handcrafted in Portugal in burnished brown and blue leather and feature a matching Harris Tweed wool in similar tones. The legendary Harris tweed is handwoven by Scottish islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides and is made from pure virgin wool.
Genuine Harris Tweed, like the one featured in these Liebre boots, must be hand-woven in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, using no electricity and with 100% virgin wool from Scotland.
Harris Tweed is very resistant to wear, wet and dirt. It’s a material often worn in clothes for hunting. When dirty, wait until it dries and brush gently.
These boots are made in full-grain cowhide leather, which has a smooth, lustrous, and rich colour in cognac and brown shades thanks to the in-house manual burnishing process. This leather will age very well and develop a particular beautiful patina over time.
These boots feature stitched leather soles following the Blake construction method and can be resoled. The soles include rubber inserts to make them better prepared to be worn on rainier days or cobblestoned streets.
Our classic shoe line feature cork inserts, which act as thermal insulator and cushion, increasing your comfort while walking. Cork also allows your shoes to breath.
